About YDI

Youth Democracy Institute (YDI) is a nonpartisan organization rebuilding the civic leadership pipeline for American democracy. We partner with schools and community organizations to equip young people ages 10–24 with the civic knowledge, leadership skills, and real-world experiences needed to lead in their schools, communities, and public life. Our model includes camps, cohort-based academies, and paid fellowships that develop leaders at every stage of the pipeline.
